Green power smoothie

This morning I tried to make green smoothie that would taste good, look good and would have amazing benefits for my body, so I came up with this recipe. I have small descriptions about foods that I’ve added to this recipe for you to see amazing health benefits of this smoothie and power of these plants. You can do your research and find even more benefits of it all. 🙂

This Green power smoothie contains one of “super foods” – spirulina / chlorella powder, it is in dark blue-green color. It has a bit of “sea” taste and smell, but in this smoothie you won’t feel it so much. Spirulina helps to detox your body, lowers blood pressure, helps prevent cancer, helps with weight loss, boost energy and over all it is amazing! I definitely advice to try it.

In this smoothie I added peanut butter and it is very good for energy boosting, it contains healthy fats, helps with weight loss – even if it’s high in fats. Peanut butter is filled with nutrients, has high level of protein and fiber in it, which helps your body to function better.

For natural sweetness and more energy boosting I added ripe bananas and dates. Bananas has lots of nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins in them, they help to improve digestion, gives you energy and they are good for weight loss. Dates works perfectly if you love sweetness, and – they have many benefits to offer your health! Dates are anti-inflammatory, because they contain lots of magnesium, which is very important for your health.

For more greenery I also added spinach – it’s good for clearing the skin and making your hair stronger and shinier. Spinach also is helping your body with it’s anti-inflammatory effects. This one is filled with so many nutrients and vitamins, it helps to stable blood pressure levels, fights cancer cells, helps with weight loss, improves eyesight and it’s known for it’s anti-aging benefits.

This time for liquids I choose Soy milk from Naturli, but you can try adding the ones you prefer, such as almond milk, oat milk, rice milk and so on. But, if you don’t like these or you don’t have them in your fridge, you can just go for clean water instead.

So, lets make this Green power smoothie, that will fill you up with goodies and rise your energy levels for the rest of the day! 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 ripe bananas;
  • 1 cup fresh spinach;
  • 2-4 dates, for your preferred sweetness level
  • 1 tea spoon of spirulina / chlorella powder
  • 1-2 tea spoons of peanut butter
  • 1 cup of plant based milk or water

Instructions:

  • put all the ingredients in blender and blend until it’s smooth
  • pour in glass and enjoy!
